Quad City Arts - Development DirectorQuad City Arts is seeking a dynamic Development Director to lead our fundraising initiatives under the guidance of the Executive Director. This pivotal role involves spearheading the annual fundraising plan, developing digital strategies in partnership with the Marketing and Design Director, cultivating relationships with donors, securing financial support, and maintaining donor relations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a similar field (with nonprofit administration being a plus), at least three years of professional development experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting, and a knack for grant writing and event planning. Key skills include excellent communication, analytical abilities, and a creative, self-starter attitude. The role is based in Rock Island, IL, and requires in-person work with some travel. Quad Cities Chalk Art Fest 2024The Quad City Arts Chalk Art Fest invites artists to showcase their talents on June 22 & 23, 2024, with registration closing on May 24. Participants are assigned pavement sections and provided chalk to create their artworks, which must be completed within festival hours to be eligible for awards. The event encourages originality and interaction with the public, while adhering to guidelines ensuring artworks are appropriate and respectful. Artists compete for cash prizes, with specific rules around work hours, materials, and presentation to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all.

Rock falls art in the park Outoor Art GalleryWe invite all artists to setup at our Art in the Park Art Gallery on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the RB&W District from 10am to 5pm. This is a juried show. Media will consist of all fine arts including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and artisan crafts such as clay, fiber, glass, metal, paper, and wood.
We would even love to have some live demonstrations! Rock falls art in the park sculpture walkThe Rock Falls Tourism Department has opened up the selection process to artists who would like to enter a sculpture for consideration. Eight sculptures will be chosen by the Rock Falls Tourism Committee. The new sculptures will be installed on August 23, 2024. Artists chosen will be given a $1,250 stipend, as well as other benefits.

64 Arts National Juried ExhibitionThe Buchanan Center for the Arts is pleased to host the 64 Arts National Juried Exhibition featuring the artwork and talent of artists from across the country. This exhibition will be on view September 6-October 28, with a gallery reception from 5 to 7pm Friday, September 9. This year's jurist, Melissa Wolfe will announce awards at 6pm.
64 ARTS showcases artwork from across the United States and promotes the importance of the arts in the Warren County community and surrounding region. Arrivals and Departures Call for EntryA juried show of 2D and 3D works inspired by or interpretations of the theme, Arrivals and Departures. The theme can be interpreted broadly or specifically based on concepts and ideas related to arrivals and/or departures. Show runs from September 5 to October16.

Regional Contemporary WoodTurning ExhibitionQuad City Arts invites woodturners living within 250 miles of the Quad Cities to enter up to 3 pieces of work for show and sale in two galleries. Artisans are free to use any medium, but at least part of the piece must be created on a lathe. Work must not exceed 24” in any dimension. Collaborations are accepted. Application Fee is $30.
Works will first go on display at Quad City Arts’ Rock Island gallery with a public reception on February 7, 2025 from 6-8 pm. After one month, gallery staff will pack and transport the work to Quad City Arts’ Airport gallery inside the Quad Cities International Airport. Works will go on display beginning March 5 and ending April 29, 2025. All works displayed at the airport gallery will be locked behind glass and available for viewing 24/7. Additionally, all accepted works of art will be available for viewing and purchase through Quad City Arts’ website. Work will be selected through a blind jurying process. If works are sold, Quad City Arts will retain a 35% commission. Two cash prizes will be awarded: $300 Masters’ Choice, selected by the jurors, and a $200 People’s Choice award. Sculpture is also welcome. All artists will be featured with their own page on our website during the exhibit. Become a Featured Artist on "Quad Cities Live"KWQC TV6 and Quad City Arts has formed a partnership to feature artists on their latest Friday segment "QC Live". TV6 encourages local artists to create and submit new versions of their Quad Cities Live logo. During these segments artists are able to talk about the inspiration for their logo and feature up to seven (7) pieces of artwork. All interviews are currently done remotely.
